As the snow falls
Beauty surrounds
Peace follows
Laughter all around
Candy for all
Children play around
Happiness becomes
And sleep begins once again
Putting a smile
On the olé scrooge
As she remembers the past
Then all hell breaks loose
All she ever wanted was this
But alas never to be true
The tears fall upon
The wicked minded fool
Her heart breaks free
Setting her on towards the light
She goes to grab for it
Only to see the truth
As blackness swallows her whole
She struggles once more
Remembering her misdeeds
Her misfortunes
She preys
To no avail
How much farther can she go deep

Literature
I Stand
I stand
Against unbeatable odds.
I stand,
Defying every god.
I stand,
Never backing down because,
Despite all those who mocked me,
Beat me and forgot me,
I stand.
Chin held high and I,
I stand.
Look you in the eye,
I stand.
Somehow I'll get by,
With you or without you.
Never thought I'd doubt you,
But I'll stand.
With you,
I always thought the world was grey,
Til I saw your smile and lost my breath.
My dark nights bloomed into day.
Lost and confused, you're all I had left.
Empty promises, we sang together,
Sweet lies to soothe our souls.
Pray, children, what is "forever"?
Broken now, we'll never know.
I stand

Literature
Lampades
Forgotten.
Left in the dreg heap of time and history.
Spirits who wander as pale shades of light, in abysmal darkness.
Come, oh daughters of Hekate!
Sing, oh fruits of Nyx!
Rise, oh women of raw identity.
Lay hands upon the Forlorn and outcast.
Soothe the spirits of man burdened.
For as living men tell lies, the Dead tell no tales.
Literature
It Is Hope
Dollar signs swarm like wasps,
Threaten to sting from all directions.
They thicken, become the fog of depression,
The choking, crippling fog, threatening to solidify,
Become the dark abyss, the place knowledge fails
to picture out of pure terror.
But then, a spark.
Will it ignite?
What is it?
Employment? Success?
Happiness?
It is these things and more, yet it is not.
It is hope.
